After racing only a few hours previously on Friday night on the other side of Bushy Park this wasn’t a day for setting personal best times, but funnily enough we got pretty close. I pushed pretty hard and finished in 19:03 (29 seconds off of his best) but Sharon finished in 28:40, only four seconds off of her best time. I can see another PB for Sharon coming in the not too distant future.

So is Sunday to be a well deserved day of rest for our intrepid runners?
Well…a rest from racing anyhow. I was up early to watch an aquathlon that Kirsty, Stuart and Nicola took part in. I’ll go out for a long slowish run later today.
I shall be going for a short slow-ish run later (just got in from a nice calm Labour Ward shift!). Some lunch, a few chapters of a book and then a run once it cools down a bit – it’s roastie toastie out there today!
Well, my plans went all wrong. My long slowish run turned out to be the fastest lap i’ve ever done of Richmond Park! Doh. I’ll try and get a recovery run in tomorrow!
