Wow wow WOW! Well done you. Incredible stuff. Am considering it for next year...though more likely to start at the back next to the inflatable phone boxes and rhinos. Sarah x

Well run.
Not surprised if you have blisters on your typing fingers now.

Nabeel - the 'true' photos will be the official ones that should be online in the next day or so via the London Marathon website. I had no idea where the cameras were (I believe there's quite a few all over the place) so had no opportunity to smile for them! They should show the real suffering!

Excellent report David! I'll pass this on to Diane, I'm sure she'll be interested to know how the running felt through the marathon :)

Great job finishing and I like all the special poses throughout your marathon :) must have been like knowing where the cameras are on a roller coaster ride :)

You must keep us updated about the Iron Man triathalon (freak! hehe)

Awesome stuff David - we have admired your efforts from afar, but when the text arrived with your time we were not at all surprised. Cannot wait to hear how you get on with the Ironman!

Great read. Just to think this time last year and you had to miss your Marathon and here and now we stand (or sit in your case on achey legs) having done one of many more to come I expect.

Very impressed with your time and pacing and if we can just get Sharon to enter online too...

Run sub-3hrs and you get a GFA you know!

Loved reading this David! I'm proud of you, by the way. I could not believe your time when I read it, superb. Keep training, and break the 3 hour mark.

Great report David, and an excellent race. I was very proud to support you doing so well in your first marathon, especially after the debacle last year and the fantastic support you gave me in Bungay. I have nothing further to say about the gel incident, except to wander off, mumbling under my breath, I was dangling it perfectly, honest... :o)

Once again great running and a great story. For a first marathon its an incredible time (and considering you were not using it to race), no doubt you will be pushing 3 hours next year. I would like to get 3-3.15 next year so if you get in for next year and you fancy pushing the 3 hour mark and you are up for some long sunday runs give me a shout.

Hope the legs start to feel slightly more normal soon, I don't know how you can think about doing an Ironman! Take it easy for the next couple of weeks.
